IMPORTANT (PRAYER)
PRAYER "OUR LORD"
Our Father, who art in heaven! Hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us our daily bread each day; and forgive us our sins, for we also forgive every debtor of ours; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Amen.
PSALM 103
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all His benefits. He forgives all your iniquities, heals all your diseases. He redeems your life from the grave, crowns you with mercy and lovingkindness. He satisfies your desire with good things; your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
LOVE GOD
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” (Gospel of Matthew 22:37).
YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GODS
“I am the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before my face. You shall not make for yourself an idol or any image of what is in heaven above, and what is on the earth below, and what is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I am the Lord, your God, a jealous God, punishing the children for the guilt of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me” (Exodus 20:2–5).
HEALING POWER
“He committed no sin, and there was no deceit in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but entrusted himself to the righteous judge. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that, having been freed from sins, we might live for righteousness: by his wounds you were healed. For you were like sheep wandering (having no shepherd), but now you have returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls” (1 Peter 2:22–25).
RESURRECTION POWER
“And Jesus, crying out again with a loud voice, gave up his spirit. And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom; and the earth shook; and the rocks split; and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many” (Gospel of Matthew 27:50–53).
CURSE THE ILLNESS, AS JESUS DID
“In the morning, as they passed by, they saw that the fig tree had dried up to the root. And Peter, remembering, said to him: Rabbi! Look, the fig tree which you cursed has dried up. Jesus, answering, said to them: Have faith in God, for truly I say to you, if anyone says to this mountain: ‘Rise and throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him, whatever he says. Therefore I say to you: whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it, and it will be yours. And when you stand in prayer, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your heavenly Father may also forgive you your sins. But if you do not forgive, neither will your heavenly Father forgive your sins” (Gospel of Mark 11:20–26).
DO AS MUCH AS JESUS DID, AND EVEN MORE
“Truly, truly, I say to you: he who believes in me will also do the works that I do, and he will do greater works than these, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask the Father in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (Gospel of John 14:12–13).
CAST OUT DEMONS
“And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will be well. And so the Lord, after speaking with them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, with the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed” (Gospel of Mark 16:17–20).
REJOICE EVEN IF...
“Though the fig tree may not blossom and there be no fruit on the vines, and the olive tree fail, and the field yield no food, though there be no sheep in the fold and no cattle in the stalls—yet I will rejoice in the Lord and joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength: he will make my feet like the feet of a deer and he will lead me to my high places” (Habakkuk 3:17–19).
ASK AND GIVE THANKS
“Rejoice always in the Lord; and again I say: rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to all people. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but always in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known before God” (Letter to the Philippians 4:4–6).
ALWAYS ASK IN THE NAME OF JESUS
“And on that day you will ask me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you: whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete” (Gospel of John 16:23–24).
THROUGH JESUS YOU ARE CHILD OF GOD
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love, having predestined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, with which he has favored us in the beloved, in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Letter to the Ephesians 1:3–7).
PRAICE GOD (SAY IT OUT!)
“Therefore, through him let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips that glorify his name. Do not forget also to do good and to share, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God” (Letter to the Hebrews 13:15–16).
IMPORTANT (HOLY COMMUNION)
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the prophets: ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard from the Father and learned comes to me. This does not mean that anyone has seen the Father, except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father. Truly, truly, I say to you: he who believes in me has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness and died; the bread that comes down from heaven is such that the one who eats it will not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Then the Jews began to argue among themselves, saying: how can he give us his flesh to eat? Jesus said to them: truly, truly, I say to you: unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in yourselves. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is truly food, and my blood is truly drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live by the Father, so he who eats me will live by me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers ate manna and died: he who eats this bread will live forever.” He said these things in the synagogue, teaching in Capernaum. (Gospel of John 6:44–59)
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching, in fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Fear came upon every soul; and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles in Jerusalem. All the believers were together and had everything in common. And they sold their possessions and all property, and divided them among all, according to the need of each one. And every day they continued with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they received food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. (Acts of the Apostles 2:42–47)
